BLUEPRINT FOR LIFE: FIND YOUR LIFE PURPOSE IN YOUR FINGERPRINTS
WITH RICHARD UNGER

Like an acorn containing within it a picture of the oak tree it may someday become, each human has an imprint of their life purpose encoded in their unique and unalterable fingerprints. Doctors study fingerprints as a DNA map for disease detection, psychiatrists use fingerprint analysis to better understand autism and schizophrenia, the Navajo People say, "The Great Spirit breathes in the breath of life and the tracks of that breath become our fingerprints." DNA imprint or the tracks of the Great Spirit—anyway you look at it, your Blueprint for Life is at your fingertips.

Richard will discuss the medical research behind fingerprint formation and how it correlates to soul psychology and life purpose. Afterwards, you will study your own fingerprints to decode your Life Purpose.

DANCING WITH THE SHADOW: AN ASTROLOGICAL BREATHWORK JOURNEY
WITH CARLY JO MORGAN & JULIANA MCCARTHY

In this workshop you will be guided through a shamanic breathwork journey designed by Carly Jo Morgan to help you hear the whispers of your inner wisdom and uncover the workings of your shadow (the blocks that must be investigated in order to bring ourselves closer to wholeness). Through breath and experimental sound we will explore the unconscious, intuitively locate any shadow aspects that are paralyzing us, and bring them to the light. This is a process of awakening, fine tuning, and shifting the authority from your mind to your heart.

Astrologer Juliana McCarthy will guide participants through an overview of Pluto’s role in astrology, with an exploration of its current influence on the world and our personal charts. Considered the most powerful planet, Pluto rules shadow work, rebirth, and transformation and can help us achieve the pinnacle of spiritual advancement. With volcanic eruptions, it destroys anything out of alignment with truth.

SOLSTICE SOUND SANCTUARY
WITH DEVA MUNAY

Join us for a Summer Solstice celebration of sacred sound. The evening will begin with a brief introduction to the historical use of sacred sound as a transformational healing tool and the modern day applications of this spiritual technology. Then, prepare to connect to your inner wisdom, strengthen your immune system and expand your creativity through the harmonic alchemy of crystal singing bowls, tingshas, rattles and more.

The power of sound can restore one’s mind, body and spirit back to a state of balance. A sound journey it is like receiving a full body massage. Most people fall into a deep state of relaxation—the sounds act as the focal point, reducing and eliminating mind chatter, leading to a release of deep rooted tensions and emotional blocks. Many people emerge from the experience feeling lighter, more in balance, refreshed, and rejuvenated.

Enjoy an elixir by Sun Potion and dinner from Mercado Sagrado guest chef, Greg Arnold of Darkhorse Organic.

Deva Munay is passionate about the transformational power of sacred sound. In 1997 while on a 4.5 month pilgrimage Deva acquired her first sacred sound tools: two Tibetan Singing Bowls and a set of tingshas. During this journey she also learned the art of meditation, most notably while studying with the Dalai Lama for ten days after the Tibetan New Year in McLeod Ganj, India. From there she has studied healing modalities in Belize, Thailand, Malaysia, Nepal, Mexico, Europe, Guatemala, Peru, Bali, and Egypt. She incorporates this kaleidoscope of cultures and wisdom into her sound journeys to create a unified field of pure awareness and healing, which leave most in a state of wonder, awe and gratitude. Deva has a certificate in Sound Healing from the Globe Institute of Sound & Consciousness in San Francisco and a Bachelors of Science in Cultural Anthropology, Biology and Art from Southern Oregon University, as well as many certifications in the healing arts.

THE MODERN UTOPIAN: ALTERNATIVE COMMUNITIES IN THE US
WITH JODI WILLE

Throughout human history, bold and visionary individuals, dissatisfied with the status quo, have formed intentional communities to explore and re-imagine the cosmos and new ways to live. At times these experiments have burned brief and bright, failed spectacularly, or even led to tragedy; yet others have found ways to sustain themselves, quietly thriving for decades, influencing the larger culture in lasting ways. Filmmaker, book publisher and curator Jodi Wille has visited, documented, and published books on intentional communities and alternative spiritual groups for twenty years. Jodi will take us on a curated journey through some of the most distinctive alternative communities in America, with personal stories, historical context, and rare film clips and images from the 1700s to the 1970s to today. She’ll also take us behind closed doors of still-active communities and share personal stories from recent visits to groups in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, and more.

WHITTLING WIZARDRY: TRADITIONAL SPOON CARVING
WITH SOREN MITCHELL OF THE NATURAL FREE HUMAN BEINGS

Throughout human history people have shaped the natural elements into tools to enhance their lives. In this special workshop, Soren Mitchell will guide you into the wonders of whittling as you craft a spoon from an untamed section of wood. Soren believes that people are happiest when they are making beautiful things with their hands. Come experience it firsthand and leave with a spoon of your own design.

Enjoy an elixir by Sun Potion and lunch from Mercado Sagrado guest chef, Greg Arnold of Darkhorse Organic.

As far back as he can remember, Soren Mitchell has been drawn to cultures that lived and thrived in nature. This interest led him to many pursuits of a primitive nature such as fire making, carving, hide tanning and foraging, which includes hunting and fishing. Soren and his wife Helen make jewelry from their hand-tanned leather and stones, bones, shells, glass and other materials they find in the places they visit. They believe that people are happiest when they are exploring their worlds, collecting things and then processing and making those things into usable items and art. This is why they call their “company” The Natural Free Human Beings. In their world, everyone is an artist and everyone is a valuable and honored member of the tribe.

The Language of the Birds is a practice, a lifelong tool to connect you to your surroundings, anywhere you go. Rooted in ancestral knowledge, and the teachings of naturalist Jon Young, it is a way to understand the animal world.

There will be a brief sensory meditation and then everyone will sit out on the land individually. We will then come back together to discuss this practice and share what the area and the birds are trying to communicate to us.

Aliens from Spaceship Earth promo illustration.jpeg

ALIENS FROM SPACESHIP EARTH
FILM SCREENING AND CONVERSATION WITH JODI WILLE

A fascinating insider’s view into the post-psychedelic guru/yogi/cult/commune explosion of the ‘70, Don Como’s Aliens From Spaceship Earth is narrated by Donovan (with his music as the soundtrack) and features extremely rare footage of the most popular and controversial cosmic leaders and groups of the time, including Sai Baba, Yogi Bhajan, Muktananda, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Guru Maharaj Ji, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, Ram Dass and Father Yod (with The Source Family), along with footage of thousands of white, middle-class American youth walking barefoot across coals, being kidnapped by “deprogrammers,” engaging in tantric sex, and devoting themselves wholly to the radical, transformational practices and teachings of their “alien” spiritual teachers. With its sympathetic viewpoint, this is one of the few films of the era to counteract the mass media sensationalism of gurus, cults and communes, standing decades later as one of the most authentic documents of the era. This will be the third public screening of the film in 30 years.

Jodi Wille is an American filmmaker (Director of THE SOURCE FAMILY), book publisher, and curator known for her work exploring American subcultures.
